Shiritori!

What is shiritori you ask?

It's a Japanese word game in which you have to say a word starting with the last mora (syllable) of the previous word. You sometimes see characters in anime play it. It's also a fun way to exercise one's vocabulary.

For example:

Player 1: sakura
Player 2: RAJIO
Player 3: onigiri
Player 1: risu
Player 2: sumou
etc

The rules are simple:

• Only nouns are allowed.
  
• Katakana words are fine, as long as they are commonly used.
  
• Words may not be repeated.
  
• Words ending in the mora "n" (ん) are not allowed.
  
• Phrases connected by "no" (の) are permitted, but only in those cases where the phrase is sufficiently fossilized to be considered a word
  

A player who repeats a word, or gives a word ending in "n" (ん) normally loses. But, since we can't really win or lose in a forum environment, let's just go with the flow and try not to repeat or end a word in "n".

Anyone can join in. You can type in romaji, kana or kanji - whatever you like.
